Dark Void screenshots and fact sheet look pretty awesome

I haven’t really paid much attention to Dark Void since it was announced last year, but the new concept art and screenshots have excited my interest. It looks like a cool, somewhat unique sci-fi shooter (a genre which I don’t think we’ll ever get tired of), and the fact that you can fly (with the assistance of a jet pack) instantly makes this game seem much more intriguing than just what the detailed looking robots and generic environments did. Dark Void’s “adrenaline-fuelled blend of aerial and on-foot combat” and promise to “[take] 3D action to a whole new level” is what sets it apart. While every shooter these days has something to make it stand out from all the others, this sounds like it could actually be pretty awesome if executed well.
It also claims to have a “mysterious thought-provoking storyline based on conspiracy theory and strange phenomenon,” which could end up being interesting - with the exception of the unbelievably generic main character, a “regular pilot turned unlikely superhero in a wild ride to save humanity.” That’s a direct quote from the fact sheet, but it would fit right in almost any recent game press release.
1 commentNew Prince of Persia screenshots with claws and lava pits

The first screenshots of the upcoming PC, Xbox 360, and PS3 Prince of Persia game have been released, and it’s looking great. As previously speculated and then confirmed, it’s cel-shaded, and these pictures show that they’ve done a great job giving it a nice, crisp, unique look. If I didn’t know otherwise I would think some of these were concept art (the last one is anyway), and it’ll be interesting to see how everything looks in motion.
1 commentFour hi-res Gears of War 2 screenshots

Microsoft has released four high resolution (2935 x 1684) screenshots of Gears of War 2, from the level Assault, the same one featured in the previous gameplay video. It’s from Act One, Chapter Three, so it’s pretty early in the game.
It’s really looking amazing though, and the resolution on these screenshots really shows off the graphics and the same attention to details the first game had. From the explosion to the picture of the girl on the vehicle, everything looks beautiful.
5 commentsViva Pinata: Trouble In Paradise Screenshots Released

I don’t know about you guys but I spend a considerable amount of time playing what I (and many other gamers) thought to be a children’s game. To this day I am still trying to get a Roario and an Elephanilla to stay in my garden.
Luckily at MS Gamers Day, Rare not only leaked info out about the new Banjo Kazooie game, but also a game that I will probably be the first in line on release day to get…Viva Pinata 2.
The tentative title for the game is Viva Pinata: Trouble In Paradise and we were lucky enough to secure a half dozen screenshots to put up. Since this is only the first day of the MS Gamer’s Day event, lets hope that they have even more amazing items to reveal tomorrow.
4 commentsMassive Ninja Gaiden II screenshot orgy of blood, gore, werewolves and boobs

New Ninja Gaiden II screenshots were released today - but not just a few. No, Microsoft went all out and released more than 40 new screenshots to prepare you for the game’s release on June 3 (June 6 for you European folk).
These screenshots show plenty, from various creatures, enemies and werewolves (and flaming werewolves) to different environment and even boobs. And blood. Lots of blood. If there’s one thing almost all these screenshots have in common, besides featuring Ryu Hayabusa, it’s the extravagant and over-the-top blood spraying and spattering from every slice on every thing that can bleed. It’s surprising some of theses things even have that much blood in them - I would imagine by the time they’d lost as much blood as is seen leaving their bodies, they would be paper-white and entirely lifeless.
But this game obviously isn’t about realism - what would be the fun in that? Extravagant blood and gore has its place, and it seems to fit quite nicely in Ninja Gaiden II.

Unreal Tournament 3 coming to Xbox 360 Summer 2008, here are some screenshots

The vague release date for the Xbox 360 version of Unreal Tournament 3, which has been on the PS3 and PC since 2007 (with decent reviews) was announced recently as “Summer 2008.” There will also be some Xbox 360 exclusive content: two new characters, five new maps, split screen, and according to Mark Rein’s hints, “something Gears of War 2 related.” Five screenshots of the Xbox 360 version were released as well - so continue on for those (one of which would make a nice desktop background) along with the full press release, filled, as usual, with generic self-fellating quotes.
5 commentsExtremely high resolution Saints Row 2 screenshots and weapon details

With all the attention on Grand Theft Auto IV right now, it’s easy to forget that there are other games with identical similar premises. But the developers of Saints Row 2 have not forgotten, and they’ve just released some new screenshots as well as artwork that details some of the weapons you will have at your disposal to destroy everyone and everything you want (make sure to read the descriptions). Fortunately, while there may not be many screenshots, they are extremely high resolution (except for one) so every detail and point can be scrutinized and examined nice and close. I’ve also included two old screenshots, because their beautiful resolution is enough to merit their inclusion with the new ones.
Sonic Unleashed coming to 360 and probably PS3, has awesome music and stuff
While the game hasn’t been technically announced yet, all of these delicious, high-resolution images have been found on SEGA’s ftp site. Hit the jump for all of ‘em, plus a few other details that have surfaced.

New Incredible Hulk Screenshots

eNe3, which is an abbreviation of something in another language, has posted the first screen shots of the new Incredible Hulk game coming out for the 360 and the PS3, based on the film of the same name. I’m hoping the movie has nothing to do with its predecessor (Ang Lee just isn’t built for action), but the story will be a different for the video game. While the latest movie, Hulk, was a bit boring and horribly plotted, the latest video game, The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Rampage was anything of the sort, allowing you to rampage through cities and destroy at will, all in the name of good of course. Now it looks like Sega is taking a hint and not only basing the new game on the open world gameplay that Ultimate Rampage featured, but taking cues from the comic book as well as the film.
Still, Ultimate Rampage had its flaws. I’m very, very happy to see that these screen shoots look incredibly realistic and while they’re probably doctored to no end, it gives me high hopes that throwing cars and knocking down buildings will be even more fun this time around than ever before. The game is going to feature plenty of destructible environments and an open world recreation of New York city. It’ll be like Spider-Man, except now you can destroy all the buildings instead of swinging from them. This is just a guess, but I doubt it’ll look that good on the Wii, DS and PSP; which it is also slated for.
3 commentsSix New Fable 2 Screenshots

Kevin Cortez already brought you some exciting new info on Fable 2, and now here are some new screenshots if you want to see for yourself how the game is looking.
There are six screenshot in total, showing some environments, people, creatures, and combat, and they are all looking great. While reading about the new features got me pretty hyped, seeing actual high definition screenshots is even better. Now that more information and media for Fable 2 is being released, it’s really starting to look great and like a huge step up from the original.
