And Yet, It Is Incredible
And Yet It Moves, a puzzling solving platformer from independent developer developer Broken Rules for the Mac, PC, and soon coming to WiiWare, will instantly make you think of Braid. Though the two games look and play nothing alike, Braid has somewhat become the mantle-piece for indie games in the gaming subconcious, the shining example of the greatness than can be achieved without a big-name publisher and developers who want to think outside of the box. It doesn’t help that both are platformers, either, but as soon as you set your fingers to the five keys that control the world of And Yet It Moves you will become engrossed in a game that stands alone. Review: Braid (XBLA)

This past Wednesday, Braid was released on the Xbox Live Arcade. A platformer that uses the manipulation of time as a core gameplay mechanic, Braid attempts to push the boundaries of how games can be storytelling devices.
Does the game succeed? Hit the jump to- Oh screw it. Braid is f***ing brilliant. Buy it now.

Wow, PETA did something cool

While I usually try to avoid the bizarre antics of PETA, a friend of mine turned my attention today to PETA’s Super Chick Sisters, a flash game just oozing with edutainment and Mario-like goodness.
4 commentsCool Spot: F*CK YEAH!

Does anybody else remember the game Cool Spot that was released for the SNES and Genesis way back in ‘93? Because I do, and I’ve reminisced about it here. Be warned, though, as this article is NOT SAFE FOR WORK due to the (unfortunately unavoidable) gratuitous use of vulgarity that might just be on par with a Tourette’s-ridden sailor. Just be warned before you hit the jump:
6 commentsCES: Little Big Planet Adds Bitch Slap
Not only is Little Big Planet one of only two games that screams “BUY A PS3″ at me but it now also includes the feature to slap your friends into burning pits of lava as the above video from CES shows. One of the things I love/hate most is when you can mess up the people playing with you. Of course with Little Big Planet’s impressive anything and everything creator level creator I’m sure we’ll be looking at plenty of homebrew designs that actually require you to beat up on your partners. I haven’t played the game yet so I don’t know how it would come into play, but I’m sure there is a way that slapping a clothe doll representation of your friends into a pit of death would be beneficial.
As a side note, this video also proves that you do not have to be good at video games in order to design them. It does help to have a fancy accent. Hopefully the video is working for everyone.
4 commentsSuper Mario Galaxy: The Re-Review!!!

I’ll get the formalities out of the way; my name’s Poopface Morty and I’m a new writer. That is all.
Some of you may remember our review of Super Mario Galaxy. To put it lightly, lawl sure as hell didn’t care for it. That’s cool to me, as we all have different tastes, but it seems that about 90% of everyone who read the review disagreed with him. With my first article for the Explosion-of-Sex™ that is MEGATONik, I decided to put up a re-review of the title. Expect more creative articles at a later date, as I’m getting this sumbitch up before everyone forgets about this game. This review isn’t a direct rebuttal to lawl’s, that which I already posted in his review in the comment section, but this is my own standalone review. So, hit the jump to see what I have to say about this game.
