Geex Show Coverage Coming
I feel like a lucky man because next Friday, I will be the sole representative of MEGATONik attending the first annual GEEX Show gaming convention in Salt Lake City. GEEX is short for Gaming and Electronics EXpo.
While it is not even close to being the San Diego Comic-Con or even the awesomeness that was E3 in the past, I feel happy because I will finally have an event in my own backyard that I can attend and report on. Not too many people can claim the same.
The event is pretty much a glorified LAN party with a few people here and there trying to sell things. I know that I’m in for a treat when the website for the show says come try new games like Halo 3, Call of Duty 4, and much more! Oh well, at least there is a live video game museum where I can see all of the consoles that I already own and a few that have evaded me.
The most interesting thing for me at this show is that I believe that I’ll have a great time just getting to know the fellow geeks and having a chance to drink in the sub-culture that I have chosen to identify with.

Interesting timing, when E3 goes from Monday to Thursday. But then, maybe this will get bigger with time? Have fun.

Dex, I wish I was going to PAX and I was even lining up everything to attend this year, but I found out the week before I was going to buy tickets that my wife is pregnant and the day pax is held is pretty close to the due date. I don’t want to miss one of the most important events in my life to go to a gaming show. I will however be there next year for sure.
