Fitness Guru Reviews Wii Fit
Lately, it seems that all of my friends are addicted to Wii Fit. Many of them are regularly using it, and when I asked one of them if Wii Fit is really making a different he said, “Well, a week ago I could even do a single push-up.” Bravo!
So, the users seem to enjoy Wii Fit, but what do fitness gurus think about the game? Sarah from Diet.com tried out the game (video above) and shared her thoughts on the game. Overall, she enjoyed the experience but points out a few items of interest.
- The game does is not sensitive to overweight people. In response to the girl who was told by Wii Fit that she was too fat, she says that someone has to tell it like it is.
- The Yoga game doesn’t discuss which muscles you should be using or breathing techniques.
- After discovering the hula-hoop benefits were equivalent to a walking warm-up, she recommended going out and buying a real hula-hoop if you enjoy it.
Honestly, all of these things are fine with me. If the little girl is over 300 pounds, then someone needs to tell her to put down the fork. If people want to understand the concepts behind Yoga, they’ll probably opt to take a class if they decide they’re enjoying it. Finally, if I just spent $90 on Wii Fit, why would I go out and buy a hula-hoop?
Wii Fit is available for the Nintendo Wii. [Good luck finding one.]

I was considered overweight too with this thing…if it wasn’t for my damn ankle I could probably run a 4.4 40 yard dash also, so take the BMI “results” with a grain of salt. I actually had a chuckle with those, and didn’t really pay it much mind.
I consider this a good supplement to a vigorous workout routine, but to replace one, not by a longshot, though it is infinitely better than nothing; I will say it is at least a start, and a catalyst such as this is a good thing.

Really, a better investment would just be a membership at a gym than Wii Fit to begin with…that $90 can cover three months at most places.
I still haven’t been able to find a copy of this. I hear Nintendo has only shipped 500,000 of them to the U.S., and they’re all sold out, aside from eBay/Amazon scalpers. Wii Fit for $160+? No thank you.
