Rumor: Next Mortal Kombat to eviscerate DC superheroes, your childhood
I’ll give you a minute, because that image likely made your head-spin as much as it did mine.
It seems that Mortal Kombat Online recently received this teaser image from “a source within Midway” that seems to subtly indicate that a Mortal Kombat vs. DC fighting game is on the way. According to the folks over at MKO, the game is officially titled Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe which is great because if it were only superheroes, Jimmy Olsen couldn’t get a piece of the action. While the image looks real enough, this should be taken with a grain of salt until Midway makes an official announcement.
I don’t really know how this makes me feel. On the one hand, that image is a gateway to a world of sweet possibilities, each more nerdy and violent than the last. On the other hand, DC likely wouldn’t have beacons of civility and justice such as Superman getting torn apart in the kind of brutal ways that the MK series is known for. On the other, other hand (I had a rough time in middle school with the three hands and all), how could it get any better than Justice League Task Force?

Will never be as awesome as Marvel v. Capcom.
Well I think it could be better, but I’m not a fan of the fighting genre. The only reason I like Mortal Kombat so much is because of the blood and gore. The super heroes are just a beast addition in my opinion.
I did a little matlockery on that website in the image. The domain is registered to Holland & Hart, LLP, a group of attorneys based in Colorado and has been registered since 2002. The information in the WHOIS was updated in February.

It’s possible that Midway has purchased the rights to the domain from this firm, but I doubt it.

Possibly related to noob.com? It’s registered to Midway, and right now it has a picture with scrambled letters that say “embargo lifts tomorrow.”
Batman is awesome, but I haven’t been interested in anything related to Mortal Combat since the very first game.

Dex, not even MK2? That was the peak of that franchise if you ask me, although I thought Quan Chi was pretty badass.
I suck at all MK games. Ever.
Only fighting games I’m actually DECENT at are Tekken and Soul Calibur.
Ithink it will kill the series its probably the worst idea id rather kill a super hero with scorpion than just knock him out and leave. Mortal Kombat Armageddon lags like hell and that sounds better.
