Zero Puncuation’s Turok review

Browsing on Digg today, I saw this video review I thought I’d share with you all. It’s highly informational, extremely entertaining, and completely dead on. This post is for you who people out there that didn’t exactly agree with my views on Turok being an absolute shitfest of a game.

Hail Yahtzee.

I love the Zero Punctuation reviews, but I don’t have them bookmarked so I always forget to check them out. I’m probably a couple weeks behind.

Good lord, he said Metroid Prime was a good console FPS, which I and seemingly no one else I’ve met agrees with. Awesome.

    I can’t believe I haven’t watched these more often…hilarious.

I loved Metroid Prime but I don’t think I’d consider it a FPS. Though I’ll have to disagree with you on Turok being the shittiest ever…I was unfortunate enough to get a copy of Turning Point: Fall of Liberty, and I have to say that the review coming up is going to be pretty scathing.

why did he put gears of war on there when its a 3rd person shooter. just wondering

Because first person shooters and third person shooters are really not that different?

Morty, I’m with you on Metroid Prime being a good console FPS, but it is certainly different than, say, Halo or Call of Duty. The multiplayer in MP2 was lame.

Yeah it did, which is why I was constantly baffled at the talking-point mongers around Prime 3’s release on why there was no multiplayer. “Um, because they tried it and it sucked?”
