Rock Band finally announced for Wii

The gist of it: Coming out on June 22, it’s the special edition, $170, comes with the drums, mic, and a wireless guitar. Unfortunately, no DLC has been announced yet, which really blows, yo. Looks like Nintendo fans are finally going to be able to get a chance to play one of the best games of 2007 though. Hopefully the GHIII guitar will be compatible, eh? I guarantee this will be the same gimped version that is the Playstation 2. No Band World Tour mode

Although I’d complain normally about only the five bonus songs, besides Tribe’s “Outside”, Freezepop’s “Brainpower” (which is infinitely better in Rock Band than the single anyway), and Timmy And THe Lords of the Underworld, I can’t think of any other bonus songs I’ve played more than once when it has nothing to do with trying to five star it. They’re pretty much shit. Hopefully they manage to do some great work with the DLC that have been there for the other systems, otherwise it will seem only as a gimped version. If it’s not as gimped as I forsee though, it could be a damn good seller for the console.

FYI, there is a Herbie Hancock ad on this page right now. lol

Morty: I like “The Time We Had” by The Mother Hips. It’s nice and mellow.
