Sonic Unleashed coming to 360 and probably PS3, has awesome music and stuff
While the game hasn’t been technically announced yet, all of these delicious, high-resolution images have been found on SEGA’s ftp site. Hit the jump for all of ‘em, plus a few other details that have surfaced.
Keep in mind that Sonic Unleashed is only a tentative title. I’m sure that SEGA will do something stupid and change the name like they did with Sonic Wildfire to Sonic and the Secret Rings. It seems as though this one will have some old-school 2D platforming, so that’ll be pretty nifty I hope. Now if they’ll just bring back the fire and bubbles shields, we’ll really be in business.
Apparently, rumors are flying that this time around, Sonic is going to be a werewolf for some reason. Ugh. Thankfully, it has been confirmed that this is going to be a multiplatform release according to Germany’s own Dennis at the SEGA magazine:
“Sonic unleashed will be on the cover of the next PLAY magazine, it will also feature in Nintendo’s magazine (NOM) and will be in the August issue. The screens I have uploaded are from the Xbox 360 version of the game, however, the game is going to be a multiformat release.”

A werewolf though..? C’mon, Sonic Team… Just… c’mon. At least the gameplay looks like it might actually be good for once! Plus, just listen to that beat in the video. That’s the kind of music that I’d like to rip through landscapes at top speed to.
