Unreal Engine 3 Presentation: Over 100 locusts on screen at once
By now I’m sure you’ve heard about Gears of War 2, but there were also some pretty cool demonstrations of Unreal Engine 3 using Gears of War. Gamersyde got some video of Epic Game’s presentation off the screen, which I’ve embedded above.
They show plenty of new features for Unreal Engine 3, but the best part is about a minute in when they demonstrate high density crowds by showing over a hundred locusts on screen all at once.
They also show the improvements in lighting and water, the system used to build all of Gears’ cinematics, soft body physics, and destructible environments. It’s awesome to see these improvements to the engine that powers so many great games, and I for one can’t wait to see them implemented in Gears of War 2.

coolballin’ yo, but I’m not sure how you’d wear it.See, I was going to say barbecue, but I know it’s actually incorrect because barbecuing is an extremely long process (probably much longer for a cube of meat of that size), while grilling is what most people call barbecuing. That’s what I get for being thorough I guess.
…Does it say “TOES” on his grill?

As for what it says, I honestly have no idea. It looks like there are more letters before the TO, but I can’t see what they are.

add to that all the other cool new features and i dont think i can wait until december!!!!!!!
I know cod4 is the #1 game right now. But from November 2006 to August 2007 gears was the shit. I still miss it, head pops when you snipe someone, shotgun blasts that destroy the 3D model. Halo with its weak toy guns and cod4 with its minimul blood splash. Gears 2 will come back with a force and claim the #1 spot on live for a year. We’re waiting impatiently.
Looks to me like his grill says “GATORS”. I think I see “ATORS” and that’s the first thing that comes to mind.
