Rock Band Downloads - 1/29/08

By BFeld

That ‘do is massive!

It’s that time of the week again; the time when new Rock Band songs come out to be played. What are you craving this week? Classic rock? Alternative rock? Progressive rock? Feel free to choose any of the three, because Harmonix has got you covered.

This week’s new songs are:

* “Siva” by Smashing Pumpkins
* “Working Man” as made famous by Rush
* “Ten Speed (Of God’s Blood and Burial)” as made famous by Coheed and Cambria

A pretty wide range this week. The songs are available now on the Xbox Live Marketplace for 160 Microsoft Points ($2) each and will be appearing on the PlayStation Network on Thursday at a similar price point. If you don’t already know, the phrase “as made famous by” indicates a cover version.

Also, be sure to check back Thursday for ‘Band Practice’, where I review all of the new DLC. You can catch up with last week’s inaugural post right here.

    What’s with all the Rush covers? The imitation Geddy Lee can’t stand up to the original.

    ^ No kidding. Same with Ozzy…I nearly vomited at the N.I.B. cover.

    I’d take no Coheed & Cambria at all, but perhaps that’s just me. Anybody else think that they’re using the term “as made famous by” a bit liberally here? I certainly haven’t heard of that particular song.
