Hell is Freezing, Pigs are Flying, the Four Horsemen are on Their Way: Jack Thompson Defends Video Games

It seems that Brian Crecente, executive editor of Kotaku, keeps strange bedfellows. Well, maybe not bedfellows, but certainly strange penpals, most noticeably anti-gaming activist Jack Thompson. It seems in their most recent exchange of emails, Jack…I’m really not sure how to put this…Jack Thompson achieved a moment of clarity.
Crecente and Thompson were discussing the recent Mass Effect/Cooper Lawrence affair, in which Ms. Lawrence slandered Mass Effect with misinformation on Fox News. When Brian brought it up, Jack replied “I don’t see any problem with it. The guy who shot his mouth off about it had no idea what the Hell he was talking about.” The full transcript is after the jump.

Of course. This contrived controversy is absolutely ridiculous. Report that, why don’t you?
Wow. I’m not really sure what to make of all this. Maybe Rockstar killed Jack’s family when he was a child, so he only has a vendetta against them. Or, maybe since he’s about to be disbarred in Florida, he realizes that he needs to calm down a tad. Whatever the cause, I hope Thompson stays like this. The pigs enjoy their newfound ability.

He just thinks it’s a contrived controversy because he’s not in the spotlight of it.

I agree with Dex, actually. He’s just sad that he didn’t find it first.
