Wow, PETA did something cool

While I usually try to avoid the bizarre antics of PETA, a friend of mine turned my attention today to PETA’s Super Chick Sisters, a flash game just oozing with edutainment and Mario-like goodness.

Super Chick Sisters is a product of Kentucky Fried Cruelty, which (from what I understand) seems to be a sect of PETA that focuses specifically on the horrible injustices that KFC apparently performs on chickens every day. For instance, did you know that…

Or that…

Hell, I know I didn’t. In fact, I didn’t even know that slugs could talk, or even that chickens could wear hats. And that whole business about their “sensitive beaks” getting cut off… doesn’t it seem like it would make sense that they wouldn’t eat? I mean, would a human eat if you cut off its mouth? Oh well, the friend that showed this to me also said that he’s “almost positive the suffering is what makes it taste so good.”

So, all this begs the question “where is Mario? Why can’t he save the day?” Well, unfortunately, he’s apparently had some accidents playing the Wii with his brother…

Impressively, this game is chock full of humor like this. Add to this the fact that it actually has some clever platforming and hard-to-find secrets and you’ve got the best damn propaganda available on the interbutts. Go check it out!

The title font is a total parody of New Super Mario Bros. Pamela Anderson is a locked character. The attention to detail in the stages is greater than virtually any Flash game I’ve ever played, with (though not the greatest) some effective level design.

PETA (or whomever they outsourced this to) certainly did their research. Bravo! I’m no major fan of PETA, though I’m not the hyperbolic opposite where I wish the death of anyone who gives a shit about animal rights, but this is some effective marketing.

There are secret blocks everywhere. The cut scenes are stylized and actually funny. You follow Mario’s recovery and journey, too. He gets attacked by People for the Ethical Treatment of Turtles, Peach is upset he confused her for Pamela Anderson…
It’s odd to find an advertisment game worth playing.

wow….. crazy…. Although PETA doesn’t tell you how they most of the time do the same shit they are against to animals just so they have sad footage to show people… they won’t ever bring that up….
