Super Breakout Portable Up For Auction

Gamesniped, the website that weeds out the good gaming auctions for you, has posted an auction selling one of only two known to exist prototype Atari LCD handheld game systems from 1981. This one happens to be a non-working prototype of Super Breakout. Right now the bid is up to $385 dollars but you have to believe that a rare piece of gaming history like this is going to go for a bit more despite that fact that it is simply a bit of plastic with an LCD screen.
More importantly than what the winning bid is, is the design of the thing. Ever seen anything like it before? Large spinning wheel, square screen, buttons above wheel, white plastic. Looks like Atari should have copyrighted this design since all their financial woes would easily be solved by a massive law suit against Apple the second their first generation IPod hit the market. It’s probably for the best seeing as handheld released by Atari have a success rate of zero.

I want an iPod that’s older than I am, and instead of playing music it just plays Super Breakout, but instead of playing Super Breakout it actually doesn’t play Super Breakout!
