Nyko introduces the fully wireless Wii
Nyko has revealed that they will be releasing a wireless nunchuck peripheral for the Wii, which will allow you to now use twice as many batteries in half the time! The wireless Nunchuck will employ 2.4-GHz wireless to communicate with a receiver module that jacks into the Wii controller’s nunchuck port just like the original but without that highly annoying wire between the nunchuck and the Wii remote. The controller will work exactly like its wired counterpart, and it doesn’t look like Nyko is diverging very far from the original design either as the only noticeable difference is the power button on the top of the controller. Pricing and all that jazz won’t be revealed until CES in early January.
I don’t know about you, but I’ve never really had a problem with my wired nunchuck, other than the fact that it is a pain in the ass to store. The thought of using two more batteries to power my already battery-pillaging Wii remote gives me the hibbly-jibblies. Plus, how will you spin the Wii controller around your head like a lasso if you don’t have any wires?

Would be handy when kicking off or kicking a field goal in Madden…assuming I would be playing Madden as ‘08 was abysmally buggy.
