Beowulf launch trailer, he is ripper and tearer and slasher and gouger and other manly things

By zizzy

While many may dismiss Beowulf as just another game made only because a movie is coming out (which in turn is based on an epic poem), I actually think it looks like fun. It probably wouldn’t even be made if not for the movie, and it may not bring a whole lot new to the table to the mead hall, but it just looks like some mindless (well, for the most part, I’m sure they’ll try and incorporate elements of the original story), gore filled and brutal entertainment. And really, isn’t that more than enough?

The official launch trailer is out (embedded above), showing some of the epic story and, more importantly, plenty of the aforementioned mindless and brutal combat full of excessive amounts of blood. Looks like Beowulf has found a thesaurus too, as he’s got plenty of ways to describe himself - but does he really need to shout out his own name with such fury in every single trailer?

Needs more lesbian sex. Otherwise, looks like a decent God of War clone.

    “Needs more lesbian sex”
True, but can’t that be said of any game? Even the few that try to include it like Mass Effect could use more, as shown by the disappointing video backflip posted.

“Looks like a decent God of War clone.”

1Up gave it a 3, and several comments were all “Can’t buhleave I bought this game!”

DAMN IT! Why can’t the 360 get a good God of War clone!?

I never said it wasn’t a good thing. Apparently 1up did though.
