Backwards Compatible Games Start Up screen on Xbox 360

A new backwards compatibility update has been released, unexpected and unanticipated as usual. Right when everyone was getting excitedslightly interested in the upcoming dashboard update, a whole slew of original Xbox games get made to work on the Xbox 360. Like a ninja, the update silently and secretly approached until the final moment when it was suddenly revealed. It’s nice to see that Microsoft is still working on making old games compatible with the Xbox 360, although as usual most are games no one really cares about, assuming they even knew about them in the first place. Those are probably the easiest to make work though, plus you have to sort through a lot of crap to get to the good stuff in anything and the backwards compatibility list is no exception. However, there are some good games, so are there any you are looking forward to digging out of your old stash to play on your 360?

You know, there are a few XBox games I own that I always just assumed were on that list, but they’re not. From my library, the ones missing are Beyond Good & Evil, Midtown Madness 3, and Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow. I’m not terribly upset about the second two, because I could always buy a new Splinter Cell game if I wanted to play more, and Midtown Madness 3 wasn’t really that great, but I would like to see BG&E on this list. It’s the one I’m most likely to want to play again (for a third time).

Not really impressed with the update. Games that need to be added include sparton total warrior, rainbow 6 critical hour, black stone( this game is identical to fire emblem)Mortal kombat deadly alliance. It just seems that they are missing some of the essentials. And yes MGS Substance needs to be put on the list. More of the good stuff and less of the tom and jerry whisker wars and barbie crap. All in all the only good thing I have seen are the rpg’s. I recommend trying a bards tail, very funny, cool action, great rpg.
