Smart people doing smart things: Rock Band gets tenant evicted

By BFeld

While browsing the Rock Band forums, I came across an interesting thread. Apparently, this guy was jamming too loud on the day of the game’s release, and ended up getting evicted for it. It wasn’t his first offense, but it’s still interesting that their need to rock got them kicked out. He has until December 1st to leave, so most of the replies are telling him to crank it up to 11 until then. I’ve embedded the eviction notice from November 21 after the jump.

“Runnnnn to the hills run farrr awwwwaaayy”

xD I could just see getting kicked out for those two or maybe it was the “Ballroom Blitz”

    Found this in the thread:

Oh right, and the main reason I came back to the thread..

We didn’t get kicked out. We went and talked to the manager, and he was really cool. He siad that them stomping wasn’t acceptable either. Then I brought him back to our place to show him how loud we were playing the game, and he said it was fine at that volume and that they were being oversensitive and have to understand that they live in a shared living space, and have to expect some noise. So now he is going to talk to them and tell them to calm down. He also said it was common for people who complain once, to continually complain about small little things, so that is probably what happened this afternoon.

So yay..we still have a place to live.

Gad to hear they didn’t get kicked out, but the story isn’t nearly as interesting now.

I’ve been having a similar issue with my downstairs neighbor. As far as I know, he can’t get me evicted, but he apparently disapproves of my drumming. I think the bass pedal stomping is loud on his end.

Yeah, you shouldn’t have to “stomp” that pedal at all. You’ll be much faster and more accurate if you learn to lighten up.

It’s too springy to play like a real bass drum pedal. I may just still need to get used to it, but I am much more accurate if I hit the pedal hard than if I go soft on it.
