LEGO Batman teaser is … teasing?
This is the first look at the game that promises to bring two of the hottest fads of the nineties, LEGO and Batman, together in a game for the first time, and to be honest I’m quite underwhelmed. One of the reasons that the LEGO Star Wars series was so successful, in my humble opinion, is because of the wide variation in the characters and environments that are prevalent in the Star Wars world.
With Batman, however, there are only a handful of different environments that are present in the Batman universe, most of the action taking place in Batman’s hometown, Gotham City. Additionally, Batman doesn’t really have that many enemies; I can probably count most of them using just my fingers. Will the environments in LEGO Batman get repetitive? Will the characters get redundant and boring? For right now, who knows? This is all complete speculation, but with the repeated repetitiveness (how’s that for redundancy?) of the characters and environments, I can’t see LEGO Batman being as great a hit as LEGO Star Wars was.

Honestly, I’m not really sure why Lego Star Wars was so successful. Granted, it mixes two great IPs, but I just recently played the demo on XBox Live and it was just tedious and boring. The only good thing was seeing the cute little Lego characters act out scenes from Star Wars. I especially liked when Han blasted Greedo. Too bad the gameplay seemed to be severely lacking. I don’t expect much better from Lego Batman.
What do you mean he doesn’t have that many enemies? It looks to me like there is a whole bunch of people just lining up to be his enemy.
Those are henchmen, zizzy. Anonymous, disposable henchmen.
I’m talking about big motherfucking bosses like the Penguin, Catwoman, the Joker, the Riddler and Two Face.
No, Mr. Freeze and Poison Ivy and that WTFOMG Scarecrow dude do not count.
I’m pretty sure there are like a dozen or more Batman villains that were in the comics but not yet put into a live action movie. I’m no comic nut though, so don’t quote me on that.
