Buy Super Mario Galaxy, get $25 gift card, FREE!

You read it right. If you purchase Super Mario Galaxy at your local Toys “R” Us, you can receieve a $25 gift card for free. The offer is good from 11/11/07 to 11/17/07, and I’m not completely sure if you can use the gift card right away on Super Mario Galaxy, but this is still a GREAT deal. You can check out this week’s magazine ad to browse the deal and check the details.

… so, I can get Galaxy for $50 and then another game for only $25? Awesome.

Yep, that’s how math works. Amazing, huh?

Since you’re buying the game for fifty dollars, I have an issue with saying the card is free. Free is me saying “Gimme a $25 dollar gift card!” and a disenchanted empoloyee going “Okay, whatever.”

You’re not paying for the gift card. Kind of…

The gift card is free, because you are not paying $25 for it. You are still paying for the game however, but would you otherwise always get a $25 card for the purchase? No. So, it’s free, under the condition you get the game first. If nobody else wants their $25 gift card, give it to me.

So do we not need a preorder for this deal? I might seek out my nearest Toys R Us, since I was planning on picking up Super Mario Galaxy anyway.

I’m pretty sure they won’t let you use the gift card on Super Mario Galaxy.
