Burnout Paradise lets you pull off six driving violations at once

By BFeld

I don’t know how it happened, but I completely forgot about Burnout Paradise. It doesn’t come out until January 22, but from the looks of this new trailer, it looks awesome. It’s a completely open world to just screw around in and, frankly, aren’t giant crashes what the Burnout series is all about? You can start races and challenges at any time, by simply holding the triggers. Plus, it’s now sporting true high-definition visuals. Hopefully, the fellas at Criterion also remedied Burnout Revenge’s terrible load times. Maybe now I won’t have to wait a full minute before I start a race.

This game looks pretty sick. I’m glad it’s coming out AFTER the holiday rush, too. Really, I wouldn’t mind it waiting until March or so.

This does look great. One of the few (?) titles to look forward to in early 2008.

I have always liked the Burnout games, so I’m definitely looking forward to the first real next-gen one.

I could do without the return of the radio host, but the wide open city sure is looking nice.

The radio host reminds me of the one in SSX.

In fact, it sounds like he could be the same guy, even.
