Call of Duty 4’s new arcade mode: A tribute to retro gaming
Is this news to anyone else? I had no idea that Call of Duty 4 would have a cool, albeit inconsequential, tribute to retro gaming set within it. When the beginning of the video began playing, and the 16-bit menu popped up, my heart started racing a little faster. “What’s this?” I thought, “A 16-bit minigame?” Sadly, it is not. However, the addition of a points system for killing enemies looks to be a great addition to an already fabulous looking game; with an added leaderboard, this could be a major feature that could have you shooting (no pun intended) for the top score for a while. Be sure to look for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare when it comes out tomorrow!

So, it’s basically Halo 3’s campaign meta-game?
I guess you could make that connection … except the fact that in CoD4, you don’t have to deal with those ridiculous skulls’ effects.
Makes me want this game even more… this will be the only thing to get me off of Guitar Hero 3…
…You say that like you can’t turn the skulls off…
I can’t wait for this game. When it comes out it will still a lot of the online community.
