SmackDown! vs. Raw: New trailer is full of half naked chicks, now THIS is how you market a game
A new trailer for the Wii version of SmackDown! vs. Raw 2008 is out, using the same technique of interspersing gameplay with people swinging the Wiimote around that every other Wii trailer uses. While this may at first just seem like more of the same - artificially ecstatic people of all ages and as diverse as possible frantically waving the Wiimote and enjoying a game way too much - it’s got something the other trailers are missing. Well, actually it’s the opposite, since this trailer has removed something the other trailers had too much of. Clothes. While watching people play the Wii gets old fast, watching barely clothed hot chicks play the Wii stays fun for at least a few more minutes.
This is how you market a game. Less gameplay and clothes, more hot chicks and bouncing. All you have to do is get a six pack of abs, buy this game, convince some hot chicks to come over and swim in your pool (which you’ll also have to build), and you can have the scenario depicted in the above video in your own home. I’m a little disappointed the video didn’t show the scoop slam though.

I’m having a hard time imagining the controls work that well. I just don’t think the Wiimote (and certainly not the Nunchuk) has the capability of quick one-to-one motions like that.
You’re thinking too hard. This would be an incredibly lame trailer if they were just flicking their wrists instead of actually performing the wrestling moves.
