Hide the bananas! Samba de Amigo Wii confirmed

Earlier today, Sega sent out a press conference officially confirming a sequel to the Dreamcast sleeper hit, Samba de Amigo. As you may have noticed from the picture above, this game is about monkeys … that move to the beat of maracas. Wait … what?
Apparently, players will be able to move and beat the Wiimote and nunchuk to the rhythm of the game, simulating playing real maracas. What the hell is this? Why would you want a game in which you simulate playing … maracas? It’s not like playing the maracas is some kind of foreign, near impossible art in which only a select few, who have dedicated their lives to playing, can perform. They’re fucking maracas. Mexicans play them every day. According to Sega, however, there will be fun to be had in this hip-shakin’, wrist-snappin’ rhythm game. Where? Don’t ask me; I’m going to be playing Guitar Hero III.

“Hide the bananas!”
That’s what she said. HI-O!!!!
“Remind me again, why?”
Why not? Haven’t you always wanted to perfect your maraca rhythm skills? I mean, they’re so difficult to play, what with all the musical range you’re capable of playing with them.
This game will be like Guitar Hero for retarded Mexican AIDS-ridden midgets.
What’s next? Amigo de Cowbella?
Kazoo Hero?
A game where you have to clap in beat with the rhythm?
You act like this game is new. Maybe you should have been mad when it came out six years ago instead.
I am glad to see the Wii putting out another one of its trademark hits.
Dex - but then again, 6 years ago, I didn’t have a blog that could reach millions and billions of people, did I?
Wait, you have one of those now?
