There seem to be a huge amount of great-looking games releasing this October and November, so stop eating for a week, sell a kidney, or do whatever you have to fill up your wallet. Hit the jump for our massive look at what games you should keep your eye on in the following months.

Army of Two

Platforms: Xbox 360, Playstation 3
Developer: EA Montreal
Publisher: Electronic Arts
Release Date: Early 2008

Army of Two is a co-op third-person shooter that centers around teamwork and cooperation in the battlefield. Players can perform multiple different co-op manuevers, such as going back to back in heavy fire situation and lighting up the enemies with lead, to help them complete missions. Story details are limited at this point, but expect something that requires the cooperation of two to complete. You’re not psyched up yet? For co-op buffs who enjoyed games such as Gears of War or Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas, this should be your second (or maybe third) calling. Expect an experience in which co-op is not only fun, but necessary, something that games in this generation have yet to achieve. Combine that with the promise of weapon customization past that of any other game out there and you’ve got a must-buy. With the addition of the online two-on-two multiplayer option, Army of Two is shaping up to be one of the most promising games releasing this year.

[Editor's note: It seems that Army of Two has been delayed until early next year. The game is still awesome, and is no doubt going to kick ass, so we've decided not to nix it from the list.]

Assassin’s Creed

Platforms: Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, Nintendo DS
Developer: Ubisoft Montreal
Publisher: Ubisoft
Release Date: 11/13/07 (Early 2008 for PC & DS)

Assassin’s Creed is Ubisoft’s next game that will break the mold for the action-adventure genre. Taking place during the Third Crusade, in the year 1191, the player assumes the role of Altaïr (in Arabic, “The Flying One”), a disgraced master assassin who embarks on a quest to restore his status within the Assassin Order of the Hashshashin sect. The overall objective is to slay the nine historical figures in Jerusalem, Acre and Damascus who are facilitating the Crusades. The producers of the game take pride in the game’s historical accuracy. To be more specific, the locations in the game are actual distinctive models for the cities. Furthermore, all of Altaïr’s targets are also historic leaders who died or disappeared in the year 119, though not necessarily assassinated.

What really separates Assassin’s Creed from other action-adventure games in the past is that the environment is completely interactive and that the control scheme is very unique. The player is surrounded by large populations of these cities, but the way the player controls Altaïr affects how the bystanders around him react to his presence. For example, if the player chooses to throw someone to the ground and kill them, the crowd may unite against him and he will then have to find a way out. Similarly, if Altaïr climbs walls, civilians will gather around which may attract unwanted attention from guards. The point is to engage in “social stealth”: the ability to blend in with a crowd instead of simply hiding in shadows by performing actions that would be socially inconspicuous. In regards to the controls, the player presses buttons corresponding to his various body parts as they attempt to figure out what action should be taken, rather than the game explicitly specifying what actions Altaïr will take.

Producer Jade Raymond for Assassin’s Creed is also a favorite among the MEGATONik staff here, which is yet another reason you should be drooling over her hotness her intelligence this game.

Beowulf

Platforms: Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PSP, PC
Developer: Ubisoft
Publisher: Ubisoft
Release Date: 11/13/07

Beowulf is a video game adaption of the classic old English poem to coincide with the upcoming movie release. While Beowulf may not seem like a story ripe for video game adaption, they have found a way to keep it interesting. Instead of directly following the events of the original epic poem, the game will tell an entirely new story of what Beowulf was up to when he wasn’t busy drinking beer in the mead hall or fighting Grendel. The gameplay looks like it will, for the most part, be basic hack and slash, but it seems more visceral and unique than many games of the genre and that elements like weapons and shields taking damage give it a more authentic feel. Crushing your enemies in combat just looks like plain fun, and the story is based off a classic old legend, which should be great as well

If you can overlook the fact that you’re trying to enjoy a game based of something you were probably required to read in high school, Beowulf could definitely be a great mix of frantic hack and slash combat, epic mythology, and plenty of excessive gore.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

Platforms: Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Games for Windows
Developer: Infinity Ward
Publisher: Activision
Release Date: 11/5/07

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is developer Infinity Ward’s first game not revolving around World War II. Set in modern times, Call of Duty 4 is centered around a Middle Eastern conflict fueled by the Russian nationalist Anton Volkov. Ever since the beta was released on August 27th, the media and fans have been mesmerized by the game’s outrageously addictive multiplayer. From the looks of it thus far, the single player will far from disappoint as well. No, there will be no shouts of “Jerries! … Comin’ up the left flank” or anything of the sort, but we can assure you, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare will push your preconceived notions of “fun” to the limit. With the addition of rankings and experience in multiplayer, there will be a reason to continue playing, beyond that of just kicking your friends’ asses. With five different classes, the replayability of online multiplayer will be almost infinite. Additionally, new strategies, such as “playing dead” as seen in a preview video that was released a couple of months ago will allow for new ways to trick incoming enemies into taking just a step too far… Come November 5th, have your $60 ready because Call of Duty 4 will be ready to rock your face off.

Contra 4

Platforms: Nintendo DS
Developer: WayForward Technologies
Publisher: Konami
Release Date: 11/13/07

Picking up two years after Contra III: The Alien Wars and taking place on the same island as the original, Contra 4 is a return to the shoot-em-up greatness of the original. It’s good ol’ Contra. The art style, and gameplay all retain the original, fast and frantic feel. Being a DS game, it’ll most likely be a little easier than the original, meaning that you might not even have to use the Konami code for once! Plus, the game comes packed with the NES versions of Contra and Super C, hidden characters, a virtual museum, and digital comics. A word from the wise: up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A.

Crysis

Platforms: PC
Developer: Crytek
Publisher: Electronic Arts
Release Date: 11/16/07

Crysis is an upcoming sci-fi FPS for the PC which is based in a fictional future, where an alien race has invaded Earth. In single player mode, the player plays as Jake Dunn, a United States Delta Force operative armed with various futuristic weapons and equipment, most notably a “Nano Muscle Suit”, an artificial and technologically advanced exoskeleton. The player fights both North Korean commies and extraterrestrial enemies in four different locations: a tropical island jungle; an American aircraft carrier; inside an “Ice Sphere” and the alien ship itself, where some parts will be zero-gravity.

Similar to Far Cry, Crysis will be an open-ended game, with many ways to complete objectives. The “Nano Muscle Suit” and weapons are capable of being modified with devices, including suppressors, telescopic sights, and targeting lasers. The suit is capable of four modes: armor, strength, speed, and cloak, which can all be changed on-the-fly according to the playing style of the player. The AI also aims to be realistic and believable. Enemy soldiers will constantly use tactical maneuvers, work in squads, hide and ambush within the environments. They will also adapt to changing environments and conditions. AI soldiers will also respond to sound and subtle movements triggered by the player’s movement.

Crysis will support multiplayer matches for up to 32 players. Look for the demo on October 26th, which will feature the entire first level, Contact, as well as the sandbox editor.

Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock

Platforms: Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, Wii, PC, Mac
Developers: Neversoft, Aspyr Media (PC and Mac)
Publisher: Activision
Release Date: 10/28/07 (11/12/07 for PC and Mac)

Guitar Hero III is the third (duh) of the popular Guitar Hero series, but unlike the first two (which were developed by Harmonix) this game is being made by Neversoft. While they may be new to the series, it looks like they definitely know what they’re doing and will continue to make Guitar Hero just as awesome and popular as it has always been. There will be over 70 songs in the game, a lot of which will be original recordings, and with four difficulty levels, co-op, battles, and online, chances are you’ll be worn out way sooner than the game’s content. Plus, with a wireless guitar controller you can go crazy without strangling yourself when you try an elaborate move. Guitar Hero III looks like it could easily be the best of the bunch so far as you will once again be able to act out your insane dreams of rock stardom without the effort, skill or eventual drug addiction of actual musicians.

Mass Effect

Platforms: Xbox 360
Developer: Bioware
Publisher: Microsoft Game Studios
Release Date: 11/20/07

An action/role-playing-game, Mass Effect is like no game we’ve ever seen before. Promised to be “so big that lawl’s mom won’t be able to get her mouth around it” (that’s a direct quote from the publisher, by the way), Mass Effect will give players an experience unlike any other. In the game, the player will have to travel around the galaxy to different planets, each of them with a different species or enemy, in order to complete missions and essentially save the universe. Planned as a trilogy, Mass Effect will be just the tip of the iceberg in what seems like it will shape up to be a great series. The sheer amount of features that Mass Effect promises has got us baffled. The game looks to have the deepest character creation ever seen, as players will be able to customize gender, appearance, abilities and military background. Tiger Woods freaks rejoice; you’ll no doubt be able to create a character that looks almost identical to yourself. With twelve different classes, each with their own special talents, each time you play Mass Effect, you’ll definitely have a different experience. Additionally, the way in which you interact with other NPCs has got us psyched. Each and every piece of dialogue that you choose while talking with these NPCs will affect the way in which the character feels about you. React sarcastically and they’ll dislike you; react positively and you may make a new friend. Also, we hear that there’s something about a possible lesbian interspecies erotica sex scene…

Also, the combat looks very deep and intriguing. During the main part of the game, you can customize which weapons you desire to use, and can also customize which weapons your companions use as well. Being able to take down enemies in several different ways will add even another facet to replayability.

Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools Of Destruction

Platforms: PS3
Developer: Insomniac
Publisher: Sony
Release Date: 10/23/07

Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction is the first next-gen installment of the hugely successful PS2 series of platformers starring the lombax, Ratchet, and his robot sidekick, Clank. Coming off a bit of slump with the previous game in the series, Deadlocked, Tools of Destruction promises to return to the series’ roots, getting rid of the bad and giving more of the good. Why it kicks ass? It’s ridiculously fun, and based on the demo that I played, it has the workings to be one of the greatest platformers ever. The game doesn’t innovate too much as far as gameplay goes, but as early previews have suggested, Tools Of Destruction really does look like a Pixar movie, which is an amazing achievement. Also, there’s a Groovitron, which is a disco ball grenade that makes enemies dance. How awesome is that?

Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles

Platforms: Wii
Developer: Capcom
Publisher: Capcom
Release Date: 11/13/07

Umbrella Chronicles retells events from many of the Resident Evil games in the style of an on-rails shooter using the new Wii Zapper. You’ll be making your way through the mansion from the original game, events from Resident Evil: Zero, and the destruction of Raccoon City from Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, and in a new chapter titled “The Fall Of Umbrella,” you’ll play as Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield as you take down Wesker, the head of the evil Umbrella Corporation.

Hyped yet? I sure am. I’ve always put off playing any Resident Evil game that wasn’t Resident Evil 4 because of how frustratingly awful the controls are, and finally being able to experience more of the cool zombie storylines in this series with a new control system is going to be a fantastic experience.

Rock Band

Platforms: Xbox 360, PS3, PS2
Developer: Harmonix
Publisher: MTV Games
Release Date: 11/23/07

Rock Band is the next evolution of rhythm games. With four unique instruments, that’s two and a half more than Guitar Hero and a stellar track list, this game looks to be one of the year’s best. Additionally, with the promise of full albums up for download shortly after the game’s release, including The Who’s Who’s Next and Nirvana’s Nevermind, Rock Band is shaping up to be what many call the Guitar Hero killer.

The online co-op experience online is something we’ve been craving, but getting three of your friends together in your living room and just rocking out will be the year’s social gaming event. Unfortunately, Harmonix recently revealed that you will not be able to play the World Tour mode online with your friends, which totally killed our idea of forming a MEGATONik Rock Band band, but going solo for each of the instruments should be a treat in itself.

Silent Hill: Origins

Platforms: PSP
Developer: Konami, Climax Studios
Publisher: Konami
Release Date: 11/06/07

Silent Hill: Origins is the prequel to the entire Silent Hill series, which will use the third-person camera system that was used in Resident Evil 4. Finally, gamers will understand (or become a little more confused) as to how the town of Silent Hill became so damn creepy in the first place. Origins promises to have the same psychological aspects that Silent Hill 2 had.

In fact, a third of the game is going to be placed in familar locations in the Silent Hill series, while the other two thirds are going to feature new locations. A very cool feature that Origins is going to have is the “barricade,” feature. The barricade feature lets players block off certain areas with nearby objects. Silent Hill: Origins will make sure to satisfy all previous Silent Hill fans with the same horrifying creatures, creepy music and sounds, and dark characters.

The Simpsons Game

Platforms: Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, PlayStation 2, Nintendo DS, PSP
Developer: Electronic Arts
Publisher: Electronic Arts
Release Date: 10/30/07

The Simpsons Game is the newest video game based off the TV series (and now movie) of the same name. But I didn’t really need to tell you what The Simpsons is unless you’ve been locked in someone’s basement for the past 18 years eating nothing but stale Cheerios and slowly going crazy from boredom, loneliness, and lack of internet. While the demo wasn’t that great and the gameplay will probably end up being not too far above average, the focus of this game won’t be the gameplay. It’s the humor and references to the show that matters in a game like this, and the writing and presentation of The Simpsons Game is definitely done right. With the exception of the few gameplay shortcomings like a difficult camera, it looks like this will be a hilarious game that reflects the show perfectly.

Super Mario Galaxy

Platforms: Nintendo Wii
Developer: Nintendo
Publisher: Nintendo
Release Date: 11/12/07

The latest Mario installment, dubbed Super Mario Galaxy, arrives on the Wii with all new planets to explore. Although the gameplay may look different from the usual Mario game, Galaxy still retains the feel of the original innovator of 3D platforming.

Many previews have been touting Super Mario Galaxy as a true successor to Super Mario 64. With familiar characters and enemies in all new environments, it looks like a perfect balance of old and new. Nearly everyone has criticized the Wii’s lack of graphic specs, but no one can deny that this game is the best looking game on the system by far. The controls will utilize the Wii’s unique controller, and will also give a second player a chance to play in innovative ways. Also, bee suits are adorable.

The Round-Up

Wow! Isn’t it great to be gamer? Arguably the best year for gaming ever, what with the additions of Halo 3 and many other gems earlier this year in addition to those on this list, 2007 will go down in the record books. Not since the Christmas season of 1996, with the release of the Nintendo 64, have I ever been this excited to be a gamer. Whether you’re a handheld buff, trying to resist the jump to the next-generation of consoles, or an avid achievement freak on Xbox Live, there is plenty to look forward to, even this late in the year. One can only hope that subsequent years (I’m looking at you, 2008!) will continue this streak of great games. With Grand Theft Auto IV, Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Metal Gear Solid 4 coming next year, I’m sure that in the future, we won’t be disappointed.

[Special thanks to Zizzy (Beowulf, Guitar Hero III, The Simpson's Game), lawl (Ratchet and Clank, Umbrella Chronicles), Kevin Cortez (Silent Hill: Origins), Masterledz (Assassin's Creed, Crysis & Honorable Mentions) and newcomer Bfeld (Contra 4, Mario Galaxy, Rock Band)!! Oh, and, of course, special thanks to myself, the best executive editor on the planet!]

Money…something I won’t have at the end of this year.

  2. fcknkllr October 23rd, 2007 12:52 pm

where is gta IV??? Hell i can’t wait for that one.

  3. backflip October 23rd, 2007 12:55 pm

fcknkllr, in case you’ve been in a cave somewhere or something, GTA IV was pushed back to sometime between Feb. and April 2008.

  4. Hellraiser October 23rd, 2007 12:57 pm

I know every body is pumped about Rock Band but I want to know how much these downloadable songs will cost. If they are anything like guitar hero 2 then it could cost about 20 or 25 dollars for an album. I am just worried that they are going to try and use rock band to suck as much money from us as possible.

  5. xpxmxrenegade October 23rd, 2007 1:07 pm

the songs may cost more in rock band as well b/c not only do they do guitar parts and bass parts. they also incorporate drums and vocals. so it requires a lot more work then the 500 microsoft points for 3 songs in gh2. so i’m expecting more money for them in rock band.

  6. Poopface Morty October 23rd, 2007 1:12 pm

Maybe a different pricing structure altogether for each different instrument, especially for gamers who may not have all peripherals, and a lower combined pricepoint for all instruments together? Think outside the box, man.

    Epic post is epic.

    This is awesome

  10. Dexter345 October 23rd, 2007 3:49 pm

    Notes:
When making comparisons, it’s “than,” not “then.”
Ratchet is a lombax, not a lombat.
lawl and zizzy will have to wait until they get to high school before they have to read Beowulf. They’re just little guys!
Contra 4 is hard. I played the demo at E for All, and I couldn’t get past the first level.
I don’t think anybody has said anything about the Wii’s “lack of graphics.” It may have outdated graphics, but it still has graphics.
Really, my problem with all these great games coming out is not one of a lack of money, but rather, a lack of time. I need another summer break, right now!

  11. Adam October 23rd, 2007 4:42 pm

The simpsons game was included, but Uncharted was not?

  12. Arsh October 23rd, 2007 4:51 pm

Where’s Kane & Lynch and Uncharted?

  13. backflip October 23rd, 2007 4:55 pm

@Adam and Arsh: We could only cover so many games right now; any bigger and the post would have exploded. Perhaps you’ll see a “Part 2″ sometime early next week.

    i farted

  15. aaron October 23rd, 2007 5:02 pm

i cant wait for HAZE…. gunna be immense!!!!!!!!!

  16. backflip October 23rd, 2007 5:08 pm

I’m immensely disappointed that Haze won’t be multiplatform.

  17. Will October 23rd, 2007 5:17 pm

I cant believe that games like Uncharted, Haze and Unreal Tournament 3 have been missed off the list in favour of Beowulf, The Simpsons Game and Army of Two (which isnt even coming out this year). I understand that all platforms must be included but in the end you have to pick the best games period, not the best games on each platform.

  18. masterledz October 23rd, 2007 5:20 pm

They’ve been added after the fact/before the riot. Group hug.

  19. masterledz October 23rd, 2007 5:24 pm

Also, read the following about Army of Two that has been posted from the start:

[Editor’s note: It seems that Army of Two has been delayed until early next year. The game is still awesome, and is no doubt going to kick ass, so we’ve decided not to nix it from the list.]

  20. Steve October 23rd, 2007 5:49 pm

‘m sorry, but where’s the Witcher? That’s one of the most anticipated games for the PC, for the last year or so, it is -even- an RPG not sth you can pass by…

  21. Ryan October 23rd, 2007 6:06 pm

I’m actually looking forward to Sim City Societies, but who am I to actually like to play PC games that don’t involve maiming someone.

  22. CinemaGamer October 23rd, 2007 6:10 pm

Not a whole lot for the PC, and nothing exceptionally great.

  23. Dexter345 October 23rd, 2007 6:23 pm

You guys forgot Zack & Wiki! It comes out today, which actually means it comes out tomorrow! (I hate the whole release date/street date thing.)

  24. MC October 23rd, 2007 6:26 pm

Have you ever heard of the term STICKABILITY?

Its to do with factors which will entice users back to a website.

Do you want to blind your users? black bg colour and white text! I got eye strain from reading two lines!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  25. masterledz October 23rd, 2007 6:27 pm

    LMAO @ John.

  32. Kevin Chiu October 24th, 2007 6:19 am

I think you forgot Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

  33. Kevin Chiu October 24th, 2007 6:20 am

Oh sorry, nevermind. It’s not out until next year.

  34. Hellraiser October 24th, 2007 12:21 pm

“Maybe a different pricing structure altogether for each different instrument, especially for gamers who may not have all peripherals, and a lower combined pricepoint for all instruments together? Think outside the box, man.”

This is a terrible idea. They would never do this. Why would they sell each instrument individually when the game is called Rock Band. Band is the key word here. Even if they did do this that means I still have to spend a lot of money because I don’t want to have to be restrained to play only drums because that is all I bought. I am getting the entire package and I would like to use everything I have.

  35. Poopface Morty October 24th, 2007 12:48 pm

For the love of god, That’s why I said ‘maybe.’ Jesus, what is this fucking thread, Cynical Denouncers ‘R’ Us? Don’t take everything I say as fucking gospel. Your first statement sounded absolute, and I was merely pointing out that there could be a different route these developers could take. When you and Renegade run with an idea, nobody can change your damn minds. I feel like I’m stuck in the movie Idiocracy when trying to ‘debate’ you guys sometimes.

What I suggested was a fucking option. They could sell each instrument individually because, wouldn’t you know it, they are actually going to be selling individual instruments to people that may have zero interest in playing drums or singing; GEE, WHODA THUNKIT? I have no interest in getting a microphone because I can’t sing for shit, but the drums and guitar parts sound exciting to me. GUESS WHAT!? I fit in the individual peripherals market! Not such a terrible idea anymore.

And who the hell says that whomever buys the game is going to have mounds of friends coming over? Some will, sure, but not everybody. Maybe someone gets it for themselves and just wants to enjoy the single player experience, or the online mode (which defeats the purpose of multiple instruments)…like I said, ‘maybe’, but since you don’t have any aggregate data that would say otherwise to my above hypothesis, you really can’t knock my fucking opinion because it is in fact an opinion.

Also, look at it this way, you are essentially getting FOUR different ways to play through one song, so even if you have to pony up more than you’d like, quit your bitching. This isn’t just listening to a straight WAV file burned to a CD…it’s a bit more complex than that.

  36. Poopface Morty October 24th, 2007 12:52 pm

Sometimes you guys got to realize people play games differently than you. Your ideals on gaming is not the end all be all. Hence, ‘think outside the box’.

  37. backflip October 24th, 2007 1:13 pm

    Angry Morty is angry.

  38. kagatoASUKA89 October 24th, 2007 1:44 pm

Wheres Mass Effect that game looks epic

  39. kagatoASUKA89 October 24th, 2007 1:45 pm

nvm I can’t see shit sorry about that

  40. Hellraiser October 24th, 2007 2:29 pm

First of all Morty in no way did my post sound absolute. Read it again and you will see that. Second of all why in the HELL would I accept what you are saying if we are debating. The reason behind a debate is to defend your point of view.
Also if you get mad at me please try to shorten your rants so I don’t have to waste so much time reading them.

  41. PostalPerson October 24th, 2007 5:27 pm

You forgot Unreal Tournament 2007! Demo is out now!
It looks gnarly, if you like fast fps, and actual physics in your games. Its not a slow mo game like BF1942 or Call of Duty, its jump in and play like a superhero or die.

Plus they have released a level editor with every version, allowing user created levels.

The only competition will be Crysis.

  42. Kevin Cortez October 24th, 2007 6:48 pm

    PIZZOWNED.

  43. Poopface Morty October 24th, 2007 8:05 pm

“Also if you get mad at me please try to shorten your rants so I don’t have to waste so much time reading them.”
LONG RANT WARNING! Evidently I have to go just short of drawing a picture, so if you can’t bother to actually read a lengthy response, then start picking up some books. People who drop the ‘too long, didn’t read’ responses need to forget about their education and start boiling fries at the local eatery, if that’s all their attention spans allow. Short posts are for the lazy and ill informed…if only every quote/comment could be condensed to watered down sound bytes.

Your first post was absolute (and the second was incendiary to boot, which seems to be your guys’ modus operandi on the blogs and the forums) insofar as you only are willing to compare it to Guitar Hero 2…you flat out stated what pricepoint they are going to be based on that assumption. I wasn’t even debating you with my reply, just casually mentioning an option that could be offered by the publisher, because heaven forbid if someone on this site doesn’t want to be a cynical nuisance online. And after attempting to respectfully engage your statement, suddenly it’s a ‘terrible’ idea brought with a reply so condescending I had to double check to make sure I wasn’t being lectured by a pseudo-intellectual college freshman, because naturally, you would have a better opinion than I would (still waiting to hear if you have any bright ideas on the matter, or if you are still content with complaining).

For the record, if you are going to be picky about my posts, then how about you get to using question marks ( ? ) when you ask a question, m’kay? And in a debate, you defend your point of views and/or disprove the other’s (usually both if you expect to get anywhere, and the other person isn’t as stubborn as a mule)…not sure if that original point made by you mattered at all to the discussion at hand, but hey, ‘The more you know.’

    ^ Short Version:
“You’re wrong, I’m right. Question marks FTW.”

    Not quite as meaningful.

I like your short version a lot better. All I was saying is your rants are like a Lord of the Rings book. They could be shortened and you could still get your points across with a few demeaning sentences thrown my way.
Anyway back to the point. My first post is not absolute because I use words like “if” and “I’m just worried”. Its not like I was saying man RB is going to blow because they are going to take all my money. If I would have said something of the sort then you would be right, but I didn’t.
I compared it GH2 because what other games do you know that are based solely on playing rock instruments? Now take that list of games you know and shorten it to games only on the 360. Alright do you have them all in order?(Pretty nice question mark right? ; ) Ok, now how many of them have downloadable tracks on the marketplace. I don’t know about you but I could only think of 1 and that was GH2. Also I didn’t absolutely state anything. I said “then it could cost 20 to 25 dollars”. Once again I didn’t say It will cost us 20 to 25 dollars. I was just saying it COULD happen.
I’m sorry I didn’t make my opinion clear enough for you but I think they will be overpriced. If I am buying the game for $60 and there are about 50 songs on the game, then each song is worth about $1.20. So anything over this is overpriced to me. My bright idea would be for them to charge a reasonable price for the songs.

    What about ace combat 6

  47. Craig October 25th, 2007 2:30 pm

I’m almost positive Beowulf is not all it’s cracked up to be. We’ve seen it dozens of times. Don’t get me wrong I have nothing wrong against the movie it’s awesome but I’m sure the game was rushed to meet the deadline. It might have some awesome ideas but most likely they won’t be carried out as well as they could have been with more time.

  51. zizzy October 27th, 2007 6:28 pm

    @Jonah Falcon
Yeah, it says that in the article. Twice.
That portion was written just before it was delayed, so we decided to keep it and just make a note.

  58. Lard October 28th, 2007 9:04 am

I like how the PS3 exclusives (bar Ratchet) are down at the bottom of the list as “honourable mentions.”

    Teh Bias!

Crysis ‘AI soldiers will also respond to sound and subtle movements triggered by the player’s movement.’
    - But standing in the open sunlight and invisible, but still projecting a shadow, doesn’t set them off :D

  63. duck October 28th, 2007 9:12 pm

What’s funnier? 1) Ratchet and Clank is listed as one of the “big bombshells of 2007″ that has released already and is also listed as one of most aniticated games.
2)Heavenly Sword is included on the list “big bombshells of 2007.” 3)The Orange Box is listed at all.

Clearly some mis-guided PS3 twerp wrote this aricle.

The only reason to own PS3 is Final Fantasy and Metal Gear.

Meanwhile there are at least ten reasons to own 360 and four reason to own Wii.

    Let the truth be known.
