Free in game content for Oblivion

Despite the fact that Oblivion came out over a year ago (at least for Xbox 360 and PC owners), the developers have been keeping it fresh with downloadable content. The most recent and last official downloadable add-on, The Fighter’s Stronghold, was made available today and fortunately it’s completely free. Here are the details on what there is to do:
Defeat the attacking marauders and become lord of Battlehorn Castle. Located in the Colovian Highlands west of Chorrol, this expansive castle will allow you to live the life of a noble warrior, with private quarters, grand dining hall, wine cellar, barracks, training room and more. And what castle would be complete without a few hidden passages and dark secrets?
Or if you want to get straight to the point, here are the features in a convenient list:
A fully detailed castle for you to explore Knights of the True Horn patrol the castle and do your bidding Secret treasure vault Upgrade the furnishings in every area of the castle Hire a vintner to create special wines to enhance your fighting abilities Hire a combat trainer to spar with Hire a taxidermist to craft lifelike trophies for your great hall Purchase an ancient Dwemer Forge that buffs your Armorer skill
Since it’s free, what more incentive do you need? Go ahead and get it here for PC or on the Xbox Live Marketplace for Xbox 360.

Still haven’t completely beaten Oblivion on 360 yet. I think this will finally make me actually pick it up again and finish it through.
Yeah, me neither. I got stuck at one part and just gave up on the main quest because it was getting infuriating. You needed to find Martin to continue, but I didn’t see him anywhere and when I asked around I was told he was dead. I couldn’t figure out if there was a way to continue, and no guides or anything even helped in the least, so I just went on to the side quests. I should have just reloaded my last save, but by the time I decided there was nothing I could do I had already done a lot elsewhere so I didn’t want to go back. I still don’t know what I was supposed to do, if there even was anything I could do without going back to my last save.
Even without the main quest there is an incredible amount of things I haven’t done yet though, so it’s not like I need any more content. But it’s free, so I’ll probably get it anyway.
They give this out for free but make you pay for horse armor? Interesting business tactic…
Why don’t they just let this game die and make an actual sequel.
@Hellraiser
Because making an expansion and making a completely new game are entirely different. I’m sure you can guess which one takes more work. Plus, this is free for anyone who owns Oblivion and a sequel would be another $60.
Lastly, they’re working on Fallout 3 now so probably don’t have a lot of time for another Elder Scrolls game. Who knows though, they might have a team working on that right now.
Cool download. i had a level 46 imperial and restarted the game and found it hard to redo the main quest, the soldiers this download comes with defintly helped so for people having trouble beating the main quest. download this.
