Rock Band price set, release date announced; Guitar Hero packs its bags
Thanks to MTV’s Multiplayer blog (shit, I can’t believe I just linked MTV), we now know the price and release date of the Guitar Hero killer, Rock Band. The Xbox 360/PS3 package, that includes the game, a wired/wireless guitar, respectively, a microphone and a drum set will release on November 23rd of this year for a measley $170, $30 less than everyone was expecting. The Playstation 2 bundle, however, will drop on December 10th for $160, a Jackson cheaper than the 360 and PS3 versions.
Look out, Guitar Hero, Rock Band is almost here!

Sweet, $170 is a great deal.
This news is making me reconsider whether or not I will buy Rock Band. $170 is still pretty steep for my moneybag(s). Oh, the dilemna.
I think I’m just going to stick with guitar and *maybe* drums. I’m pretty uncoordinated as far as drumming is concerned, so I’m not sure how much fun I’d have with Neil Peart’s favorite instrument.
Same here…I will probably get Guitar Hero when it comes out and then Rock Band if the Guitar Hero guitar is compatible. I don’t think I’ll get the full Rock Band bundle unless I skip out on Guitar Hero though.
Is that $170 Australian or American?…
American.
i didn’t even get guitar hero 2 yet…
