Rumor: Guitar Hero 3 setlist leaked
A post on the ScoreHero forums (which was promptly deleted) supposedly contained the full song list for Guitar Hero 3. You’ll be playing some recent hits from such artists as AFI, Queens of the Stone Age and Rise Against along with a ton of other rock songs from the last few decades.

“maybe not fake”, the Slash battle (like all battles in the game) is an original composition made for the game. Velvet Revolver’s song She Builds Quick Machines is officially announced for the game, hence this list is either fake or incomplete.

Hopefully this list is faked because FUCK slipknot. Only person in that band with talent is the drummer, and he’s wasting his time with that shit-pile. Bands that people think are good but actually suck: Disturbed, Rage Against the Machine, and Tool.
Now, some of that list looks pretty sweet. Dragonforce is always good, and the Sabbath and Sex Pistols were good choices. Most of the 80’s bands listed work pretty well, and even The Devil Went Down to Georgia could be pretty fun.

Okay, I actually read something i skipped. Adagio4Strings, you are a spaz and an idiot. You said they should take off the DragonForce song just because you hate the band. I didnt read all the comments to see if people already wrote this but this is an awesome list but its missing 3 great bands. Mainly Led Zeppelin if Stairway isnt on here then something else should be on here. Also a big dissapointment is no Van Halen. Hot for Teacher would have been great for this game. And any AC/DC would have been awesome since there wasnt any on the first 2 GH’s. Pretty pissed off that none of those 3 are on there.. But i guess thats why i play a real instrument. So i can play any song i want. Not just the ones on a good video game. Just my take on it. Otherwise awesome list. Suck my Kiss-the bass is gonna filthy hard and now that i say that there also isnt any Rush on here. Pretty stupid. I like the slayer and disturbed and also KSE and Dragonforce. I say that the main game play should consist of legendary songs, hence the title “Legends of Rock”. Not recently popular songs that most of you will forget about in a few years. I like about half of the songs on this list and dislike a handful of them, fake or not. So this list is a total fake and i can prove it. For Tony Hawk’s Proving Ground, guitar hero announced that it would put one of the tiers in the game as a demo. The “desert rock venue” is supposed to feature “Lay Down”, “Rock You Like A Hurricane”, “Even Flow”, “Hit Me With Your Best Shot”, and “The Metal.” As you can see from above, those songs are not in the same tier which mean this list is a fake. Eat it assholes.

Aight, well, this leaked one looks great, and some songs look absolutely juicy. And, I know my way around forum thing, so first things first:
1. We all have opinions about music. I get my taste from my bro, who likes bands with talent, and AFI, slipknot, and such is not part of that, but, does it fucking matter? No, it doesn’t. I love QOTSA, and 3’s and 7’s is going to be awesome, and if Cliffs of Dover is on there fo sho, I’m going to practice it until I can easily 90% every time I play it, as well as 3’s and 7’s, and other following tracks I haven’t thought of yet
2. Don’t be a damn ass about it, Denivire. I love being on the fence about stuff and telling people what to say an’ stuff, but you went too far, after the second one.
3. “You guys should get a life and play a real guitar”. Hmm, well, I’m doing so after playing GH 2, and ya know, it’s still not as satisfying as picking this up and being able to play some fun songs. Actually, I love both, but, It’ll be a while before I play any of those to perfection, so, until then, GH is my vehicle for that enjoyment.
4. As a very, very big fan of Led Zeppelin, if you’re going to wish that they might get a song on there, Stairway would be really cool, but, Heartbreaker is much more technical, and song remains the same would be good too. Actually, reprahase tat: I like what a dude said on youtube (to a custom gh2 vid) “they COULD make a gh with all zepp songs, but, it would only sell to hardcore zepp fans, so no go.

Man, it seems like it’s true. Most of these songs have since been confirmed. I just listened to them all on the guitar hero 3 song list site at http://www.guitarherosoundtracks.com and a lot of them kick ass. The classic stuff is great and, unlike some people, I like a lot of the new stuff. This unspoken rule that to be a true hardcore rock fan you have to only like old or obscure music, with a few exceptions, is just dumb. Enjoy all kinds of music and don’t be an elitist music snob.

What no Megadeth? I can only think of one reason, Mustaine’s heart lies with harmonix and they are putting Megadeth on Rock Band. CHERUB ROCK IS FINALLY ON GUITAR HERO! I have been waiting for that since I bought the original Guitar Hero game, Smashing Pumpkins are the best band in the fucking world & they deserve to be included in the GH series.
Disturbed & Slipknot deserve to be in this game, Stricken is a song that I said that “Would Be In A Guitar Hero game one day”, I never thought it would be that soon, it has an amazing solo & the riff is really great. Before I Forget is a great song but I agree it would’ve been better with another Slipknot song, but you have to live with what you get
Also I don’t give a crap that “They missed out 2 Velvet Revolver songs blah blah blah” because, this game already has enough Slash in the form of a boss & 2 songs (His composition & Welcome To The Jungle) we don’t need to overload him in the game, that’s why it’ll be DLC probably.
The Atreyu song may also by DLC too, best way to think it seeing as it’s not here.
WILL EVERYONE STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT THERE BEING NO DEATH METAL BANDS IN THIS GAME! If an Alter Bridge song was included, this game would be mine instantly (although technically it will be), Alter Bridge have the most unbelieveable guitar player on the planet, Mark Tremonti & the riffs & solos he does are amazing.
